This will be my fourth shopping challenge with Alison at Get Your Pretty On, but my first winter challenge. I can’t wait to update my closet in time for the holiday season!

On the left, I am wearing one of my favorite outfits from the Fall Style Challenge.  Pink Stone Earrings.  Dusty Pink blouse.  Scarf.  Burgundy Jeans and gold flats…which aren’t quite visible in the picture.  I fell in love with this monochromatic look.  Without the scarf, I generally wear it with my gold necklace.

While I enjoy having a few trendy outfits, I don’t have a lot of time to research trends, so having a shopping list has been so helpful.  I have also found the private Facebook group to be an incredibly supportive group of women, full of fashion tips and ideas!

IMG_8611The Winter Challenge is available for $49 until midnight on Nov 27th.  After that, the price will increase.  With your $49, you will have immediate access to the shopping list and the Facebook group.

Bonuses included this time are a master class on finding clothing that fits and flatters; 2 christmas PJ outfit ideas; and 3 holiday dressy outfits.  That means a total of 26 outfits this time. AND you will receive the Winter 2014 challenge FREE!!!  This will double your winter closet outfit selection!

If you are new to the challenge, you can read how it works below. I’ll also be periscoping about it tonight around 7PM. I’ll show you some of the outfits I put together this fall based on the the challenge as well as a few items I still wear from past challenges.

MORE DETAILS: updated from a previous post.

1. Pick your Challenge. Right now the Winter Challenge is open for earlybird purchase.

2. Pay for your challenge. The early bird fee is $49.99 through 11/27 at midnight.  The late fee is $69.99, so sign up soon!

3. Download and print a shopping list. Included with your challenge is a list of items you will need in your closet.  These items will be used to complete 21 days of outfits.  Some of the items you will own and others you will need to purchase.  Alison includes links to regular and plus size options for all items AND lists the colors she will be using.

The best part is that you can choose a color scheme that works for you.  After all, you want to WEAR these clothes, right?

4. Go shopping! Hit the mall, Wal-mart, TJ-Maxx, or shop at home online!

5. Receive your outfits via email each evening.  At 7 PM exactly, you will receive the outfit for the next day.  Or you can sneak a peek at the week ahead on the website.  You can substitute items as needed and even skip outfits if they just aren’t you.  (though I found the fun was in trying some new things)

6. Join the secret Facebook group. It was so much fun to hear where folks were finding good deals and what color schemes people found while shopping.  Once the challenge began, everyone was able to post their outfits each day and I truly enjoyed seeing each person’s interpretation.  Best of all, it was REAL women, so all sizes (0-20) and all ages (18-70) were on there.  I loved it!  Some moms even participated with their teen daughters!

7. Take goofy or serious selfies.  Ok, so this step is totally optional…but you can follow me on Instagram if you want to see mine!
