Afternoon Bin: What we read this week

So what did we read this week?

Non-fiction: reading a little each day:

(We finished up, If You Lived Here, and built sample houses from salt dough!)

Non-fiction History – Colonial Focus:

Our read-aloud chapter books:

(My 6 and 8 year old boys did not want to stop reading the Poppy series after we read, Poppy (Tales from Dimwood Forest by Avi. Their father has been reading the entire series to them at bedtime. I can not recommend this series enough!)

Vocabulary: reviewing and adding a few words each week:

Geography Fiction and Non-Fiction Fun: South America is our focus for January

    I love the idea of posting books read during the week. I might start doing this monthly! I have been looking for a vocabulary study similar to that. I put it on my Amazon wish list! I also put The Lives of Scientists and If You Lived Here on hold at the library. Thanks for the great suggestions!
